Wogan Coffee is a true family business. Based in Bristol, it sources, imports, roasts and packs speciality coffee, including organic and Fairtrade coffees, and it is now run by the second and third generations of the Wogan family.

How it began
In 1970, Brian Wogan, who loved a good cup of coffee, noticed there were no local roasters in Bristol. So he set up on his own in the centre of town with a refurbished Probat roaster, and "Brian Wogan Coffee" was born.
His son Adrian grew up around the business and spent his school holidays learning the trade from his dad. In 1989 Brian sold the business. Adrian stayed on for a while, but left when he felt it had lost its soul, and in 1991 he bought it back. Today Adrian's children, Laura and James, run the business with the same love of coffee.

How they source
Wogan Coffee puts ethical trading first, without compromising on taste. The team visits farms to see how coffee is grown and to taste it at origin, and buys artisan and speciality coffees from sustainable farms around the world.

How they roast
Every coffee is roasted to suit its origin. Their roastery is home to several roasters, including their original 1968 Probat, which is still in use.
Training and servicing
Wogan Coffee also supports cafés and restaurants, with barista training and coffee machine servicing. Find out more about the Wogan family story and visiting Wogan Coffee, or follow them on Instagram.

We currently work with Wogan Coffee, and they're one of the roasters that appear most often in our subscription box.
