Don't leave it to the last day
Royal Mail gets very busy in the run-up to Christmas, so we recommend choosing a posting date a few days to a week before 18 December. Most of our regular gift buyers do this.
How posting dates work
You pick the posting date when you order. We post the first box on that date by Royal Mail Tracked 48, which usually takes 2 working days. Every box fits through the letterbox, so nobody needs to be in. Your gift message is printed on a card in the first box, and you can add gift wrap.
Royal Mail's last posting dates for Christmas 2026
For reference, Royal Mail's last recommended posting dates for UK delivery before Christmas are:
- 2nd Class: Friday 18 December
- Tracked 48: Saturday 19 December
- 1st Class and Tracked 24: Monday 21 December
- Special Delivery Guaranteed: Wednesday 23 December
We send by Tracked 48, so our last Christmas posting date is Friday 18 December, a day ahead of Royal Mail's.

Our posting days over Christmas
- We keep posting up to Wednesday 23 December. Boxes posted after Friday 18 December may arrive after Christmas.
- We're closed on 24, 25, 28 and 31 December and 1 January.
- We post on 29 and 30 December, and again from the first working day of January.
