Finca La Bastilla Nicaragua

Grown on a pioneering estate nestled next to the Datanlí El Diablo nature reserve in Nicaragua, La Bastilla is a shining example of how exceptional coffee and positive social impact can go hand in hand.

This high-altitude farm benefits from rich volcanic soil, dense shade trees, and diverse microclimates—each of which plays a part in producing beans of incredible sweetness, clarity, and complexity. All cherries are handpicked at peak ripeness, and the estate’s fully vertically integrated processing system allows for precise sorting and lot separation.

This coffee is all about the people, too. Through the Teach a Man to Fish charity, Wogan funds three students each year at La Bastilla’s on-site technical college. These young people gain hands-on training in tourism, farming, and animal care—and several graduates have already progressed to university.
