April 2020 in the Blue Tea Box we sent out some amazing speciality teas that we sourced from some great suppliers.

Below you will find all the teas offered during month as well as each tea brewer.

Black Teas

English Breakfast

A perfect breakfast tea that really will brighten your morning. Medium-bodied with 'get up and go' flavour that is especially good with a dash of milk..... ermm and...bacon and eggs, cereal, bagels or whatever else you might choose to start your day

Flavour Notes: Medium-bodied, slightly floral and enticing with milk

Origin: Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula, Uva (Sri Lanka) Nandi, Kericho (Kenya) Nilgiri (India)

Earl Grey

A combination of high grown Ceylon tea and a smooth top grade Keemun along with top quality natural bergamot oil, some blue cornflowers for decoration to produce a high quality classic that quite simply delivers an amazing 'Earl Grey' experience with no aftertaste or overpowering perfume.

Flavour Notes: Floral bouquet of Ceylon tea with a smooth Keemun and natural bergamot aroma

Origin: Sri Lanka, China

Java Santosa BOPS

Santosa is at the forefront of Indonesian tea production and this BOPS (Broken Orange Pekoe Superior) tea is a wonderful example

Flavour Notes: Light, malty and slightly floral cup - very typical of high quality Indonesian teas

Green Teas

Chunmee Taipan Superior

Probably the first 'luxury' tea developed for Western tastes, Chunmee Taipan Superior is still manufactured according to the old techniques

Flavour Notes: Sweet mild yellow green infusion

Origin: Hunan, China

Kaika Cherry Sencha

Made only from Sencha harvested during the early spring when the quality of leaf is at its best, this Kaika Cherry Sencha is a delightful combination of high quality Sencha green tea, rose petals and natural cherry flavour. A smooth tea with refreshing subtle flavours you can enjoy any time of day.

Flavour Notes: Subtle aroma of roses with a fresh, smooth and fruity taste

Tikiti

A sip of Tikiti Green Tea has a way of making you feel just 'tikiti-boo'! Using a Sencha style green leaf from the Hunan area of China. A wonderful light-bodied infusion that is great hot and as an iced tea, or as a tea cocktail - make a concentrate and add a little to your favourite gin with a splash of tonic.

Flavour Notes: Sweet watermelon and fresh taste of cucumber gives a really smooth, fresh cup

Connoisseur Teas

Totonac Vanilla Rooibos

Totonac Vanilla Rooibos Tea is a sweet and fruity combination of vanilla and Rooibos creating an exceptionally smooth and delightful drink. It's name is inspired by that of the Totonac people of Mexico who were the first to cultivate vanilla and the world's main producers until the mid 19th century
